Oxford City Stars 4 Invicta Dynamos 2

INVICTA Dynamos suffered a rare defeat as they went down 4-2 at Oxford City Stars in their second ENIHL play-off game on Sunday.

The home side surged into a 2-0 lead in a first period which saw the Dynamos called for 24 minutes of penalties, as opposed to Oxford's two.

Although Grant Baxter pulled one back in the second, Oxford kept their stranglehold on the game by adding another couple before the start of the third.

Jordy Black netted for the Mos but the visitors could not prevent the City Stars avenging their 4-1 defeat at the Gillingham Ice Bowl the previous week.

The defeat leaves the Dynamos in second place in their group.

A tough away double header this weekend sees them pitched against unbeaten leaders Haringey on Saturday before travelling to Streatham Redskins on Sunday.
