Basingstoke Buffalo v Invicta Dynamos

THE Invicta Dynamos need to avoid defeat at Basingstoke Buffalos on Saturday to finish the league season unbeaten.

The newly-crowned English National Hockey League (South) champions drew 2-2 at Oxford City Stars on Sunday.

With Mos having clinched the title by beating Milton Keynes Thunder the previous week and Oxford already assured of third place, the result was a game between two teams coasting into the play-offs.

Player-coach Kev Parrish said: "We didn't play too well and they wanted to win more than us but at least we are still unbeaten.

"It would be a nice bonus to go though the season unbeaten but the main thing is to come out of the Basingstoke game without any injuries and concentrate on the play-offs."

Mos will be without Peter Carey and Jamie Smith for the trip.

Player Karl Lennon spoke to KM-fm sports editor Simon Watts ahead of the match…
