Folkestone Invicta moved up to second place in Ryman League Division 1 South after Jimmy Jackson and a James Dryden penalty) gave Neil Cugley’s side a 2-0 win over Met Police on Tuesday night.

Jackson opened the scoring with a sweet left-footed strike in the 41st minute and top goalscorer Dryden added a second from the penalty spot in the 89th minute.

The victory leaves Invicta level on points with leaders Kingstonian.

David Cory scored twice as Whitstable gained a vital 2-1 victory over fellow strugglers Corinthan Casuals at Tolworth.

The win, Town’s first since August 19 against Croydon Athletic, lifts them two places off the bottom, with Casuals replacing them.
