DANI MASTERS had a disappointing end to this year's Ladies European Tour.

Masters, a member of Chart Hills, Biddenden, finished on 8 over par for a joint 44th place in the Dubai Ladies Masters at the Emirate's Majlis course.

Rounds of 71 and 72 left Masters in good shape after the first two days, but a 79 on day three blew her chances of a high finish. She completed the tournament by posting a 74 on Sunday.

The event was won by Annika Sorenstam (10 under), with Laura Davies and Iben Tinning in joint second (8 under).

Masters, 24, completed the season in 43rd place in the Order of Merit, having played 19 tournaments.

The highlight of her year was a second place at the De Vere Ladies Scottish Open in September, while she recorded seven top 20 finishes.

Her performances represent an improvement on her debut season last year, when Masters was 48th in the 2006 Order of Merit.
