Bromley v Braintree

BROMLEY player-manager Simon Osborn will be down to the bare bones when Braintree visit Hayes Lane in Blue Square South on Saturday.

Top of the injury list is keeper Andy Walker (ankle) who will be out of action for around two weeks while Osborn is sweating on the fitness of Nic McDonnell, Ben Judge and Jerome Sobers.

He is also without the experienced Neil Smith, who has joined Grays as a coach. However, Osborn has brought in Gareth Williams from Croydon Athletic as cover for Walker as well as strikers Jason Henry from Sutton United and academy player Karl Douglin has signed Blue Square South forms.

Osborn said: "We have a small squad and that is down to me and how I want things – we are down to the bare bones but we won't use that as an excuse.

"We will go out there against Braintree and do what needs to be done and there is nothing to say we cannot get three points."
