Late strike puts Aldershot in Bromley's sights

Mangotsfield Town 0 - 1 Bromley

A LATE goal by Adrian Stone was good enough for Bromley at Mangotsfield Town in the FA Cup third round qualifying replay on Tuesday night.

After a goalless draw at the weekend, this match looked to be heading for extra time until Stone's intervention earned the Lilywhites a home tie against Nationwide Conference side Aldershot Town for a place in the first round proper.

The home side started brightly and had the ball in the net after just four minutes only for it to be ruled out for offside.

Bromley were under pressure and had keeper Andy Walker to thank on several occasions but they almost took the lead against the run of play 10 minutes before the break, but Stone's effort was well blocked by Drew Shore.

Bromley were improved after the break and went close through Allan McLeod and substitute Barry Gardner before Stone broke Mangotsfield hearts when he rose to head home an 85th minute corner and send the visitors through.
