MARGATE manager Chris Kinnear is still waiting to hear whether Icelandic international Olafur Gottkallsson will be available for Saturday's Nationwide South visit of Weymouth to Homelands.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper has spent a second week on trial with League Two side Torquay United. Nej Hussein stands by after being drafted in last weekend.

Weymouth have been hit by the shock departure of journalist/chairman Ian Ridley, following the arrival of majority shareholder and chief executive Martyn Harrison. Player-manager Steve Claridge says he is staying and netted a hat-trick in the 3-2 win over Bishop's Stortford last week.

The Dorset club are still looking for their first away win of the season, after one draw and two defeats on their travels so far this season. They arrive at Ashford one place and one point below Margate in the table.
