GILLINGHAM manager Andy Hessenthaler and his opposite number Terry Venables both face selection headaches ahead of tonight's FA Cup, fourth round, replay at Elland Road.

Both have four players missing for the mouthwatering tie which will give the victors a lucrative fixture away to Liverpool if the Anfield side see off Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

Gills will be without inspirational skipper Paul Smith, who injured a knee on Saturday, and Barry Ashby who has a foot injury.

Mark Saunders will miss the game with a hamstring injury and Paul Shaw is out after picking up a knee injury against Preston.

Hessenthaler said: "Obviously our plans have been badly affected and, at the moment, we are still working out how we are going to approach the game. Sometimes you find that adversity can spur you on to a greater effort and success."

The Yorkshire side will be without Harry Kewell who has a hamstring problem. Dominic Matteo has undergone scans on a knee injury, Teddy Lucic is suffering with concussion and Lucas Radebe slipped on ice putting his bins out and aggravated an old knee injury.
