Margate 1 Yeovil 2

THE controversial dismissal of John Keister ruined Margate's hopes of upsetting Nationwide Conference leaders Yeovil at Crabble on Saturday.

Chris Kinnear's men were deservedly leading when midfielder Keister was sent off after being booked twice in four minutes for tackles either side of half-time.

Manager Kinnear later described the second decision as "ridiculous" but Yeovil made the most of their numerical advantage with striker Kirk Jackson scoring twice in the final 20 minutes.

Before a crowd of 1,083 Margate had gone ahead after 11 minutes courtesy of a stunning strike with the outside of his right foot by Jean-Michel Sigere.

Jackson equalised in the 70th minute, following up after Andy Lindegaard's shot had been cleared off the line by Gate defender Bill Edwards.

The Yeovil man then curled home the winner with a well placed shot seven minutes from time.
