GILLINGHAM goalkeeper Jason Brown is celebrating after receiving the Medway Messenger readers’ Gillingham Player of the Year trophy which increases his haul of silverware from last season’s success-saturated campaign.

“I would like to thank all the readers who took the time and trouble to vote for me,” said the 21-year-old who revived his career at Priestfield following his release by Premiership club Charlton.

He stressed: “It’s a magnificent trophy and I’m proud to have won it.”
