RONNIE JEPSON has revealed that he has already given Gillingham chairman Paul Scally a list of the players he wants to bring to Priestfield for next season.

The Gills have confirmed their League 1 status after a campaign of indifferent form. And Jepson is confident his side can push for promotion next year if he is allowed to assemble the playing staff he wants.

Jepson said: "I have already given the chairman a list of the players I want to bring in next season and then we will work out which out-of-contract players we want to release.

"We need a bigger squad next season and also a squad with more quality in it. If we get the players I want, then there’s no doubt we can challenge for promotion next time."
