GILLINGHAM striker Guy Ipoua could continue his career in the United States with Major League club Dallas Burn.

Ipoua, whose contract at the Priestfield stadium is not being renewed, has flown to Texas for trials.

Meanwhile, it's been announced that Gillingham have lost one of their staunchest supporters with the death of Mrs Simone Thompson, of Fox Street, Gillingham. She was 93. Mrs Thompson began supporting the club in the 1980s, together with her late husband.

Despite failing health she continued, until recently, to follow the club both home and away with the Gills Independent Supporters' Club. Her funeral has been held at Medway Crematorium.
