Home draw for Gills in cup semi

GILLINGHAM have been handed a home draw against League 2 side MK Dons in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy area semi-final.

The Gills beat League 2 side Dagenham in the last round of the competition but will be up against tougher opposition this time around.

MK Dons, who are managed by former Manchester United and England player Paul Ince, currently top their division and in the last round won 2-0 at Bournemouth.

The match is due to take place on the week commencing January 7.

Both teams are now two wins away from a Wembley final with the Southern area paired with the Northern winners in the grand final.
