GUYLAIN NDUMBU-NSUNGU will return to Gillingham this week after Bradford decided against extending his loan spell.

The Congolese striker has been a real hit at the Valley during his loan spell with six goals from 18 League 2 games.

Despite Ndumbu-Nsungu’s earlier declaration of an interest to stay at Bradford the club’s manager Stuart McCall has decided not to keep the 25-year-old.

Speaking to the Bradford Telegraph & Argus, McCall said: “G's (Guylain’s) agent led me to believe that Gillingham were looking for us to pay the full amount of his wages. We've been paying a good part up to now and we can't really afford the whole lot.”

Ndumbu-Nsungu arrived at Priestfield in 2006 but has only made 16 starts for the club.
