RAINHAM'S Gerard Greene missed out on a place in the final of snooker's Royal London Watches Grand Prix in Aberdeen on Saturday evening.

Greene lost his semi-final match with Marco Fu 6-5 after a see-saw battle. Fu now goes on to play Ronnie O'Sullivan in the final.

Fu had trailed 4-3 but recovered to lead 5-4 before Greene won the 10th frame on the black.

Greene then looked set to secure a famous victory after Fu missed an easy pink but the Northern Ireland international failed to make his opponent pay.
