GILLINGHAM caretaker boss John Gorman says he may not want the manager’s job on a permanent basis.

The former England number two, who was brought to the Priestfield in October, has agreed to take temporary charge of the club until a replacement is found for Andy Hessenthaler.

Hessenthaler stepped down as manager on Tuesday because he felt he had taken the Gills as far as he could and new ideas could help improve the team’s fortunes on the pitch.
