BEARSTED’S Golf Club Ladies’ champion for 2002 is Barbara Woodham who triumphed over blustery conditions in the 36-hole tournament.

Woodham, a six handicapper, posted a gross score of 170. The Osborn Plate for the best net score was won by Pauline French who netted 154 from a 10 handicap.

The afternoon Seniors competition over 18 holes was won by Pam Pope with a gross 93 and the net prize by Pat Angus with a net 77.

Prizes were presented by ladies captain Dorothy Rhodes.
