Gillingham have created the Manager’s Challenge as an incentive to get people to buy season tickets.

Boss Mark Stimson is so confident that Gillingham will win every home game next season, that for every second league game the club loses, every season ticket holder will be able to claim a pair of free tickets for a future home league game in the same season.

In effect that means one free ticket for every home game the club loses, once the Gills suffer two home league defeats.

This offer is only open to pre-purchased season ticket holders who have bought their season tickets by 5pm on July 11.

The club have also slashed under-11s season tickets by more than 100 per cent. They will now cost £50 per child.

Chief executive Mark Jones said: “This summer our whole season ticket campaign is geared towards family and children because they are a vitally important element of any successful football club.

“Children are the lifeblood and the future of Gillingham. I believe the Manager’s Challenge represents an excellent commitment by the club to our much-valued season ticket holders.

“It’s no secret that last season was disappointing but I am confident we can bounce back and make an immediate return to League 1.”

Matchday prices have also been reduced in most areas of the ground following the club’s relegation.
