Doncaster Rovers v Gillingham

MIDFIELERS Mark Bentley and Alan Pouton are expected to be available for selection for Gillingham's trip to Doncaster on Saturday.

The pair missed training this week with ankle and calf injuries respectively but should recover for the journey north.

Despite injuries and a lack of new faces, manager Ronnie Jespson remains upbeat.

He refused to class the game as a crucial fixture and said: "It’s important we start winning sooner rather than later but if you analyse the performances over the first half a dozen games, we haven’t been too bad.

"We’ve had a smile on our faces this week and worked extremely hard. Hopefully we might get a few results that the performances in part have deserved.

"It’s just sustaining that performance over 90 minutes instead of certain periods of the game which we’ve been doing."

Doncaster sacked manager Dave Penney after the club’s poor start to the season with Mickey Walker taking over as caretaker manager.
