GILLINGHAM have made an increased offer to winger Matt Jarvis in a last ditch attempt to keep the player at Priestfield.

Chairman Paul Scally has pulled out all the stops to keep Jarvis at the club and the player has been given a month to make his decision.

Mr Scally said: "We've had a real good go at keeping him and we've made him a further improved offer.

"There's always hope. We've done as much as we can do as a club and it's now up to Matt."

Jarvis' contract at the Gills expired at the end of the season but the club will still be due compensation as the player is a product of the youth set-up.
