Gillingham manager Mark Stimson is asking his players to put everything into one final push for safety.

The Gills crept another point closer to safety on Saturday with a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Millwall.

Four games remain for the Gills and Stimson said: “We’re just going to go for it.

"Next Saturday we play the best team in the league (Swansea) and we’re going to go for three points.

"If we take three then brilliant, if we take one then every time you get a point it asks questions of the others and it means they have to come up with the answers.

“We’ve hit a good bit of form and, apart from Bournemouth, we’re probably one of the top sides at the moment.

“There’s still a lot of hard work to be done and we’ve given ourselves an even better chance now by going level with Crewe and also a couple of other teams haven’t won.

“It could go to the final wire but next week against Swansea should be a good occasion as they’re going for promotion and we’ll be trying to get out of the relegation zone.”
