GILLINGHAM manager Mark Stimson has decided not to extend the loan spell of midfielder Craig Rocastle.

The Port Vale player impressed on his debut in the 3-1 victory at Huddersfield, but has made a limited impact since.

Stimson said: "It's a shame things haven't worked out for Rocky because I believe he has good ability.

"He came here hoping to be offered a permanent deal and did well for us at Huddersfield. Since then his performances have not reached the level we require.

"I wish him well with his future but that future will not be here at Gillingham."
