CHRIS KINNEAR: now looking ahead to Saturday's Conference clash

Telford 3 Margate 0

A DISASTROUS first half performance ended Margate's hopes of reaching the FA Trophy quarter-finals at the Bucks Head Stadium last night.

The Gate were 3-0 down by half time and although they improved after the break Telford were never likely to let their advantage slip.

John Grant put the Shropshire side in front after just two minutes and after Sam Ricketts had doubled the lead on 17 minutes, full-back Matt Clarke made it 3-0 a minute before the break.

Darren Watson twice went close to a goal for Margate but manager Chris Kinnear will be hoping for better fortune when the two sides meet in the Nationwide Conference at Dover's Hoverspeed Stadium on Saturday.
