Further expansion of Addicks community scheme

PREMIER League Charlton's community operation expanded into Canterbury where the Addicks community scheme coaches took on local youngsters as part of a series of events to promote World Mental Health Day.

The Canterbury project was launched when City Council leader, Cllr Harry Cragg, and Charlton Charitable Trust chief Steve Waggott put pen to paper on the agreement.

Schools, parents or youth groups wishing to find out more about the Canterbury scheme should contact Janine Marsh on 01227 862155.

Meanwhile, Addicks chief executive Peter Varney and assistant to the chief executive Steve Sutherland are the guests of the Medway branch of the Addicks' supporters club on Thursday.

The meeting takes place at the Lordswood Sports and Social Club, North Dane Way, Chatham at 8pm.
