DEFENDER Mark Goodfellow has signed a one-year deal with Nationwide Conference South side Welling.

The consistent right-back, who has also played for Leyton Orient, put pen to paper before the Wings' 5-0 pre-sason win at Kent League Erith Town on Monday night.

Goodfellow, who opened the scoring inside four minutes, played 45 minutes and will feature again at Folkestone this weekend.

Welling manager Adrian Pennock said: "Mark has a good pedigree and will be a valuable addition to the squad."

Trialist Mark Lovell netted twice for Welling against Erith, with other goals coming from Che Stadhart and an own goal.
