MOTOR sport fans are being invited to bid farewell to the 2004 motor racing season at a free event at Brands Hatch on Saturday, December 4.

The circuit is hosting an innovative new motorsport show called Race Car Live! which is designed to offer enthusiasts one last chance to see some great cars on track while also helping prospective 2005 competitors decide what cars to race next season.

The inaugural running of Race Car Live!, which has been created by Brands Hatch owners MotorSport Vision, has attracted leading UK motorsport competitors as exhibitors and visitors to the event are promised a view of some exotic and rarely-seen machinery.

Among the cars taking to the 1.2-mile Indy circuit on December 4 will be an ex-Jean Alesi 1997 Formula 1 Benetton driven by 2004 EuroBOSS champion Scott Mansell.

Classic Team Lotus will also have several classic F1 cars at the event, including the ex-Nelson Piquet type 101, Emerson Fittipadi's type 72 and Nigel Mansell's type 91. Meanwhile, there will be various exotica in the form of Ferraris and Alfa Romeos on track plus a whole lot more.

Everything from F1 to the junior saloon cars of the T Car series, aimed at 14 to 17-year olds, will be at the show giving a glimpse of what the 2005 season holds in store.

The event is totally free for anyone who would like to visit Brands Hatch on December 4, while paddock access is also available for £10 per adult for those who want to get up close and personal with the cars on show.

Gates open at 8.30am, with on-track action running between 9am and 3.30pm.
