Liam Daish: "Let's hope we've turned the corner"

Burton v Ebbsfleet

Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish is hoping recent cup success can kick-start their league campaign again.

The Fleet return to Blue Square Premier action this Saturday with a trip to Burton following a 1-0 victory at home to Woking in their fourth qualifying round replay on Tuesday.

Daish said: "Confidence plays a part in defending as much as it does in scoring goals.

"The lads will get confidence from a clean sheet and hopefully we can take it into Saturday.

"There’s been a lot of things said on the training ground and individually, but we’ve come back and got through two difficult games, let’s hope we’ve turned the corner.

"Burton are smarting from going out to Kettering in the FA Cup - but we’ll take our work ethic into the game and hopefully get a result up there."

Paul McCarthy (back) is doubtful while Luke Moore (shin) should be fit for the game.
