Organiser Harry Slater was disappointent to get matches for a couple of his other useful lads but was delighted with the day.

"It was a very successful day with some excellent boxing," he said. The club would consider hosting another outdoor show next year.

Philpott delighted the home support with a composed performance against Hastings’ Dennis Buchanan while Diuueew gave them an exrly success with a win over Kyle Logan (Hastings).

Scott had too much for Herne Bay’s Lee Legget on his debut outing.

One of the bouts of the afternoon saw Hastings Ollie Bristow win a good contest against the taller Jay Lawrence (Dagenham) who also had a longer reach.

Ian Harman (Bromton) did well to come back from a standing count to beat the pugnacious battler John Pema (Whitehawk) who landed some solid blows.

Canterbury’s Nathan Wall showed his class with a good win over the plucky Amandeep Cheema.
