DELROY FACEY scored twice as Gillingham reserves drew 3-3 with Dagenham reserves.

Just a day after the Gills first team dumped the Daggers out of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy the two teams met for a second string match at Dagenham Stadium.

Gillingham included a number of trialists including former Charlton and Rushden midfielder Neil McCafferty and former West Brom youngster Rhys Darg.

Just four minutes had gone in the match when Steve Lomas left the field injured and things got worse a minute later as Dagenham took the lead.

The scores were level at the break as Facey headed in Efe Sodje’s long ball forward.

Just three minutes into the second half youth player Taylor Thomas created a goal for Gary Mulligan after the two interchanged passes.

Dagenham then hit Gills on the break twice with two goals in three minutes towards the end of the game.

The game ended level, however, when on 88 minutes Thomas was again the provider as Facey headed in his second of the match.

Gills: Kiely, Yari (Darg 72mins), Walder, McCafferty, Jupp, Sodje, Lomas (Pablo 4mins (Thomas 46mins)), Graham, Hill (Burchell 64mins), Mulligan, Facey. Subs Not Used: Wynter, Cumbers.
