Whitstable claimed a memorable win over Ryman League Division 1 South leaders Kingstonian in the FA Trophy preliminary round on Saturday.

Danny Wisker's well taken goal put the visitors ahead in the fifth minute but quickfire goals just before half-time from Tommy Williams and Bobby Traynor turned the scoreline around.

The Oystermen showed their character after the break and Ian Pulman lobbed an equaliser two minutes into the second period.

And the winner came on 53 minutes when Jake Gess followed up to net after Jack Tanner's penalty - given for a foul on Pulman - had been saved.

Sittingbourne are also through after a 2-1 victory at nine-man Leatherhead.

Hicham Akhazzan put the Brickies in front just after the half hour when he was on hand to turn in Nick Reeves's free-kick.

Tom Bradbrook made it 2-0 on 54 minutes when he and Richard Brady raced clear and Brady offered him a goal on a plate.

But then it all kicked off as Leatherhead keeper Neil Etheridge was sent off for his protests over that goal - and within four minutes the home side were down to nine after Tommy Hutchings received a straight red card for a wild tackle on Reeves.

Sittingbourne relaxed and the only other goal actually went to the depleted side as Ben Payne conceded a penalty that Tony Cuff put away in the 67th minute.

There was a Kent derby at the Buzzlines Stadium but Folkestone and Chatham must try again on Tuesday night after a 1-1 draw.

Invicta's Liam Friend sliced Darren Smith's 28th minute free-kick into his own net to give the visitors the lead, but Friend made amends by putting in the cross that led to Jimmy Jackson's 52nd-minute leveller.

Defending was poor on both sides but the Nuts & Bolts had no answer to Neil Richmond, who notched four times for the home side.

Claude Seamla got two for Ashford, while Andy Doerr scored the other one.
