Margate v Harrow Borough

MARGATE manager Chris Kinnear has clinched the signing of former Gillingham player Robin Trott.

The veteran defender is set to make his debut in Saturday's Ryman league Premier Division home game against Harrow Borough on Saturday.

He has agreed a contract until the end of next season and links up again with former Billericay team-mate Danny Hockton who moved to Hartsdown Park a fortnight ago.

Trott is Margate's third recent new signing following Scott Forbes' move from Thurrock.

Orpington born Trott, 31, started his career at Priestfield before spells with Welling United, Stevenage Borough (where he was club captain), Grays Athletic and Gravesend and Northfleet.

Trott only returned to Billericay for a second time in October after starting the season with Essex rivals Heybridge Swifts. He will be the 38th player used by Margate this season.

Meanwhile, it's been announced that Alexis Charalambous has left the club after playing only one game.
