INVICTA Dynamos have added two more players to their roster for the forthcoming season.

Defenceman Alex Shaw returns from last season’s squad and will take on the role of alternate captain this season.

Shaw, a hard-hitting defenceman with a big slapshot, scored 49 points last season, including some vital goals from the blue-line.

Dynamos’ coach Kev Parrish told the club’s website: "Alex had a great return season last year and I’m pleased we’ve got him back in the squad for the new season.

"He’s got a wise hockey head and is a solid defenceman who has a habit of picking up points."

The Dynamos have also signed of Liam Doyle.

Doyle, who was been playing in Canada for the past two seasons, is a 20-year old British forward.

Parrish added: "The remainder of the squad is nearly sorted pending paperwork.

"If all goes to plan, we will be announcing the rest of the squad, including a couple of new faces, in the coming week or two."
