Disappointing return for Fulton

KENT'S cricket captain David Fulton suffered double disappointment with the bat in his comeback match following a freak eye injury in pre-season training.

The right-handed batsman, playing for the Kent 2nd X1 in their three-day match with Warwickshire at Beckenham, made just five runs in the first innings and three in the second. But he did claim three catches.

It was Fulton's first match since April when a practice ball fired from a bowling machine squeezed through the face grille of his helmet.
