Kent batsman Joe Denly has spoken of his horror over the terrorist attacks in India.

Denly was one of four Kent players along with club captain Rob Key, Robbie Joseph and Amjad Khan in the country with the England performance squad.

He said: "Everyone in the camp was waking up shocked this morning (Thursday).

"I didn’t realise what was gong on until I got a text from my girlfriend and family.

"Since then we’ve all just been sitting in front of the television watching the horror of what is going on."

The ECB decided that the squad, which has been based in Bangalore, should travel home immediately. They were scheduled to play in Mumbai on December 11.

Khan was also called up to the England one-day squad on Wednesday, but the matches scheduled for Guwahati on Saturday and Delhi on Tuesday have also been called off.

Gunmen have carried out a series of attacks across Mumbai, killing at least 101 people, injuring 287 more.
