Welling manager Andy Ford has insisted that defender Robbie Ryan still has a future at Park View Road.

Former Millwall left-back Ryan has yet to agree terms to stay with the club after a steady campaign in Blue Square South last season.

Ford has snapped up former Charlton left-back Craig Braham-Barrett to boost competition for places, but was keen to stress there is still time for Ryan to be part of his plans.

"Craig can play in a number of positions, right-back, left-back and left midfield," said Ford. "What I've tried to do is sign players who can play in at least two positions.

"I've offered Robbie a deal and he is considering his options now but he understands that the deal might not be there when he gets back to me.

"Everyone is going to have more competition for places, they will all have to compete for a spot."
