Ramsgate v Dartford

Ramsgate welcome a buoyant Dartford side to Southwood tonight in the Ryman League, Premier Division.

Jim Ward’s Ramsgate side will be aiming to halt their county rivals who have won four of their last five games.

Dartford’s hot-shot forward Cody McDonald will be leading the attack for the visitors and Ward knows just what to expect tonight.

He said: “Our defenders already know about Cody McDonald and they’ve got Rob Haworth as well and he isn’t bad either.

“It’s a massive game and they’re going well and we know it’s not going to be easy. They’ve won their last couple of games but we’re looking forward to it and there should be a big crowd there.”

The Rams currently sit third from bottom in the table but are in good form themselves, particularly at home, where they have won their last three.

“We’ve beaten Sutton and Margate at home and also won in the League Cup and I’m pleased with that,” said Ward.

“We’re still in the relegation zone and we must not lose focus on that but we’re playing better than we were at the start of the season and there is a good feeling in the side.”

Burman, whose side head into a fourth straight away league game, knows his side could climb as high as eighth tonight if they can gain maximum points.

He will be without suspended pair James White and Adam Gross but welcomes back midfielder Danny Dafter after he completed his own ban.

Jamie Coyle will be missing again through illness but Adam Flanagan (hamstring) could be involved.

Burman said: "It’s one of the four games we’ve had to play away from home and we know it’s going to be tough.

"We’ve done well in all three so far and we’ve managed six points from nine and we’d like to go out and get another three tonight."

Ward has no fresh injury worries and is expected to remain loyal with the side who beat Margate on Saturday 2-0.
