CHARLOTTE DALE: high hopes

INVICTA East Kent athlete Charlotte Dale is in good form ahead of the European Junior Championships in Finland later this month.

The 19-year-old has set her sights on winning gold over 5,000m at the event in Tampere from July 24 to 27.

Dale, from Whitstable, ran as a pacemaker at the senior 10,000m world trials and AAA championships in Watford last Saturday evening.

She clocked 16:29.2 for the first 5000m which was inside the European under-23 championships B-standard even though she is aiming for the junior championships.
