Curbs rejects bust-up claims

NO PROBLEMS: Alan Curbishley
NO PROBLEMS: Alan Curbishley

CHARLTON boss Alan Curbishley has dismissed reports he has had a bust-up with either Jason Euell or Dennis Rommedahl.

Euell, the club's record signing and top goalscorer for the last three years, has been forced to play a waiting game on the bench in recent weeks due to Curbishley's newly adopted formation that allows just one striker and one attacking central midfielder.

Curbishley insisted: "I've not had a row with Dennis. Ever. I had a row with Jason last year, but we've had no bust-ups at all. He got caught up in our inconsistent performances like a lot of the players, and got left out.

"He's fighting to get back into the team, but four games in just over a week means that things are bound to change things around. He has to grab his chance like others have done."

He added: "Everyone has seen some action. They've all had a taste of it - we 've seen good things from Francis Jeffers, and I think he's still our top goalscorer in the league.

"But I want them knocking on my door, or I wouldn't have brought new players in during the summer."
