Curbs launches attack on ‘ludicrous’ schedule

TOO MUCH: Alan Curbishley
TOO MUCH: Alan Curbishley

ALAN CURBISHLEY has made an official complaint to the Premier League regarding the stamina-sapping Christmas fixtures.

The Charlton boss admitted to being envious of those clubs who had been able to switch games over the festive period.

No side took more points during the month of December, but a lethargic-looking Addicks side have lost both their matches in January.

Curbishley said: "Four games in eight days is ludicrous. We knew it would be tight over Christmas, but putting that extra game in was too much.

"I had some pretty tired legs in the dressing room on Monday and if Hermann Hreidarsson can’t pick his legs up, then the rest must be feeling pretty tired."
