Lymington & New Milton v Cray Wanderers

CRAY Wanderers are hoping to finish to improve on their play-off semi-final defeat last season as they kick off their new Ryman League Division 1 campaign at Lymington & New Milton on Saturday.

Last year, Cray held onto a top four spot for most of the campagin before being pushed inot sixth and then falling to landlords Bromley in the play-offs.

But they were the Ryman League's top scorers and assistant manager Joe Francis wants them to continue that form.

He said: "Our goal is to improve on what we achieved last season and get promoted.

“We know we have to build on what we learned and make sure we don’t draw so many games. We drew 16 last season and that’s far too many."
