Coventry 2 - Gillingham 2

Gillingham were denied a much needed victory at Coventry on Saturday when Julian Joachim scored a last minute equaliser to force a share of of the points.

Substitute Tommy Johnson looked to have earned Gillingham maxium points when he scored his second goal of the game in the 85th minute which looked to have deflated the home side.

Johnson, who had replaced the injured Rod Wallace in the 41st minute, first rode to Gillingham's rescue in the 66th minute when he took his chance superbly from Jason Brown's long clearance after Joachim had given Coventry a 55th minute lead.

When player-manager Andy Hessenthaler played him through five minutte from the end, Johnson again produced a master class in finishing.

But when Steve Staunton drove in a low cross in the 90th minute, Coventry substitute Andy Morrell flicked on the ball for Joachim to volley home in a thrilling climax.
