Coventry 0 - Gillingham 0

Chris Hope was inches away from snatching a dramatic late winner as Gillingham had to settle for a point from Saturday's drab draw against Coventry at Highfield Road.

The Gillingham centre-back advanced in the 83rd minute to connect from Simon Osborn's corner and send a header goalbound, only for Coventry midfielder Vicente Engonga to make a goalline clearance.

Two minutes from the end, Gillingham substitute Leon Johnson failed to connect in front of goal from Paul Shaw's cross.

But there was little else to commend the game. The point leaves Gillingham in 13th place.

Attendance:14,795.
