Club's 78-medal haul at county championships

BLACKHEATH and Bromley dominated proceedings to secure 78 medals with 42 individual titles after a wet and very windy Kent County Athletics Championships at Ashford's Julie Rose Stadium over the weekend.

Medway and Maidstone AC finished second in the medals table and achieved 49 medals in total, including 19 gold, with Ashford AC third overall on 43 medals.

Despite the changeable weather conditions, with gusts of wind at times exceeding eight metres per second on the Saturday, there were 10 new championship records set and 13 athletes recorded double victories.
