PENNOCK: "It's another big opportunity for us"

Welling United v Salisbury City

WELLING can return to the Conference South play-off places with victory over Salisbury at Dartford's Princes Park stadium tonight.

The Wings will climb above fifth-placed Braintree if they can take maximum points against second-placed Salisbury, who are aiming to end a run of four games without a win.

Welling boss Adrian Pennock said: "We've lost that home advantage because we're playing at Dartford but it's another big opportunity for us.

"The crowd were more vocal against Lewes on Saturday and responded to what I asked for - they need to be right behind us from the first whistle against Salisbury.

"The players were excellent against Lewes last week, it rounded off a hard week for us. Now we're all refreshed and ready to go again."

Mark Goodfellow, Ben Lewis and Ellis Green were all rested against Lewes so come into contention. Steve Harper and Paul Hyde also return. New signing Joe Bruce is expected to continue in defence after an impressive debut on Saturday.
