Kent supporters did not have it all their own way on a beautiful day at the Rose Bowl where Spitfires' mascot 'Bomber' could only come fifth in the NPower Derby Mascots' race.

For the first time this year's fun event was contested over a complete lap of the ground but Bomber, aka Kent Academy Assistant Robin Smit, was never up with the pace and proved unable to defend the title won in Edgbaston by fellow Academy employee Andy Bennett.

Surrey mascot Kenny Kennington finished first ahead of Middlesex Mascot Pink Knight-Mare and Leicestershire's Charlie Fox.
