Blow for Hess as Brown joins Watford

ANY hopes Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler had of bolstering his squad with the signing of Ipswich defender Wayne Brown vanished last night when the player agreed to sign for Watford.

“I've taken a huge wage cut to join Watford but I wanted to play for the manager,” said Brown who had played on loan at Vicarage Road last season.

Meanwhile, Gillingham supporters are reminded that the Boxing Day game at Millwall is all-ticket and these can be bought from the Priestfield ticket office. No tickets will be available on the day.
