Gills boss Martin Allen has removed a trio of players from the transfer list.

Chris Whelpdale, Charlie Lee, Steven Gregory and Antonio German had all been made available as Allen attempted to generate funds.

No offers had been forthcoming and three of those, Whelpdale, Lee and Gregory, are all now firmly in Allen’s first XI plans. Those three are no longer on the list.

Allen said: “I have spoken with Charlie Lee, Steven Gregory and Chris Whelpdale and told them that they are now off the transfer list, and that they will now continue to follow their good form from last Saturday’s game.

“Their attitude in training has been spot on and the spirit and unity within the group is most definitely getting better and back to its best.

“Honesty, hard work, dedication, discipline, respect is the key.”

The future for German remains uncertain, however. He remains on the list and out of Allen’s plans. He was left out when the Gills traveled to Crewe at the weekend.
