CHARLTON manager Alan Pardew is set to make Leicester City skipper Patrick McCarthy his third summer signing.

The 24-year-old central defender is at the club this afternoon undergoing a medical before completing what is thought to be a £650,000 move.

McCarthy, who started his professional career with Manchester City, signed a three-year deal with the Foxes in March 2005.
