CHARLTON are ready to try to slap an injunction on Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan following his latest attack on boss Iain Dowie.

The Addicks are furious Mr Jordan has spoken out ahead of June’s High Court showdown between the two clubs arising from Dowie’s controversial decision to quit Selhurst Park for The Valley in May.

Mr Jordan is alleging fraudulent misrepresentation which Charlton’s lawyers are contesting on Dowie’s behalf.

The club were stunned when Mr Jordan fanned the flames of the feud in an interview with a national newspaper.

Dowie said: "I’m saddened that Simon Jordan has again spoken to the press in such a personal way. My lawyers and I are confident I will be vindicated when the case goes to court next summer."
