Leicester v Charlton

MANAGER Alan Pardew goes to Leicester on Saturday looking for three points to keep Charlton in the Championship title race.

The 1-1 draw at Norwich on Boxing Day means they remain five points off first place and Pardew knows the Addicks have to start picking up victories.

He said: "It was an important point at Norwich but we need to get a couple of wins under our belts to keep pace with the top clubs.

"It was a determined display and we will go to Leicester in good spirits."

Jonathan Fortune, sent off in the 3-1 home win against Ipswich on December 8, has served a three-match suspension and returns to contention at the Walkers Stadium.

But midfielder Jose Semedo’s caution at Norwich was his fifth of the season and makes him liable for suspension, though the one-match ban is expected to come into force after the Colchester match on New Year’s Day.
